Are there any health conditions that would prevent me from getting a massage?
Most health conditions are safe for massage therapy, but please let us know about any conditions in your intake form so we can tailor your treatment accordingly.

How do I know if massages are covered by my health/medical insurance?

My insurance doesn’t cover massage therapy. Can I still book a massage at FMB?
Absolutely!
If your insurance doesn’t cover massages, you can pay with cash, credit/debit card, or your HSA/FSA benefit card (Independent Health Extras members, enjoy a 20% discount when you show your card).
My insurance/HSA/FSA provider requires receipts and/or other documentation proving the services were legitimate. Does FMB provide those?
Yes, we are happy to provide any relevant receipts and/or documentation.
Do I need a doctor's referral for a massage?
If you’re paying with…
- Cash, check, or credit card: No referral needed.
- HSA/FSA Benefits Card: It depends. Some card providers require a referral from a medical provider with a diagnosis code, some don’t. It’s best to check with your card provider for their specific requirements. In all cases, we are happy to provide any necessary receipts to submit to your HSA/FSA provider.
