Performance & Recovery Enhancements

Specialized therapeutic techniques designed to improve mobility, boost performance, and speed up recovery from physical activity or injury.

What Are Performance & Recovery Enhancements?

Performance & Recovery Enhancements use massage therapy to help you perform better and recover faster.

For performance, massage improves flexibility, circulation, and range of motion while easing muscle tension, helping you move more efficiently and build strength and endurance.

For recovery, it reduces soreness, prevents injury, and speeds up healing by improving blood flow and easing tight muscles. This also helps lower inflammation and stress, so your body bounces back quicker after workouts or athletic competitions—supporting both your short-term goals and long-term wellness.

Techniques We Use

Here at FMB, the following 5 therapeutic techniques can be used as a part of our customized care. All techniques are included in the price of your 30, 60, or 90-minute massage.

While we will make recommendations if we believe you could benefit from one or more of the following, feel free to request any of the below in the “Additional Notes” section at the time of booking.

Cupping

Cupping uses suction from silicone or glass cups to increase blood flow, reduce muscle tightness, and relieve pain.

It helps:

  • break up tension
  • promote faster healing by improving circulation

This technique can leave temporary marks that look like circular bruises, but is highly effective for deep muscle relief.

Muscle Scraping

Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), or muscle scraping, uses specialized tools to gently scrape the skin and improve soft tissue function.

It helps:

  • break down scar tissue
  • reduce stiffness
  • improve mobility

It’s ideal for speeding up recovery and treating chronic or overuse injuries.

Percussion Therapy

Percussion therapy uses a handheld massage device that delivers rapid pulses to the muscles, easing tension and soreness.

It helps:

  • improve circulation
  • reduce inflammation
  • increase flexibility

This therapy is especially useful for boosting warm-ups and cool-downs and relieving muscle pain.

Assisted Stretching

Assisted stretching involves a massage therapist guiding your body through targeted stretches to improve flexibility, range of motion, and muscle function.

It helps:

  • reduce stiffness
  • prevent injuries
  • relieve tension

This personalized approach is great for recovery, performance enhancement, and overall mobility.

RED LIGHT THERAPY

Red light therapy uses low-level wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to penetrate the skin and support cell repair.

It helps:

  • reduce inflammation
  • ease pain
  • promote faster healing

This non-invasive treatment is commonly used for muscle recovery, injury healing, and overall wellness.
